Motivational Monday...and an Award!

I haven't actually worked a full week since before Christmas! We had another snow day here roads are ICY even though it's in the 40's?!?!?! Tomorrow it's suppose to be in the 20's and snowy during the morning commute and we will probably have school LOL!! Hopefully  I can finish up paperwork and homework for grad class so the rest of the week won't be so hectic. I've decided to find some things to motivate me and help me stay positive each week, here are some things that are motivating me today....
from a great blog that offers tons of the cutest word art posters, I use a lot of them in my classroom they make me happy! Click on the picture above to go to Shanon's wonderful blog!

Found this on pinterest, love it!!
The highlight of my weekend, donating to 5 donor's choose projects that needed 5 dollars or less to be completed! I love the feeling of helping others :)

A motivation for blogging is this awesome Award from Holly over at Crisscross Applesauce in First Grade.
She is a great follower, and now she has given me an award for being a good follower too! It' so funny because we both want to give the other the credit. I think this is what blog land is all about, supporting each other ... I love all of my followers, so many of you make my day with your comments but I had to choose three people to give the award to...It wasn't easy but here goes...

Rachel over at Ms. Rachel's room is not only a fellow special educator but she's also a Michigan girl! I love her awesome ideas and her comments always make me smile! We think we would be great friend in real life :) Hopefully someday we can plan a Michigan meet up and see each other for real (along with Holly)!!
Jennifer over at First Grade Blue Skies!

First Grade Blue Skies
She's such a support, I think she comments on every single post I write, and I love it, I can't wait to see what she has to say, and whenever I visit another blog I notice she's commented there too! I get busy and I read all your wonderful blogs but I don't always comment, I really appreicate that Jennifer takes that extra time to show her support! She's not from Michigan but if I ever get to Alabama I will look her up (my dad grew up in Russellville - we used to visit every summer when I was a kid - I have been wanting to take my family down there for a while)! I hope her area was not affected by the tornadoes I heard about on the news this morning!

and Mrs. Nunley from First Grade Magic
She's always leaving me sweet comments, and showing her support when I am feeling down! She's the momma of two boys and a first grade teacher so I know she doesn't have a lot time, I appreciate that she takes the few extra minutes to leave comments for me :)

Thank you to everyone who follows me, I really do love the support all 265 of you show all the time! And I hope you feel the same about me!! Happy Monday!

  7. I just finished a week of snow days! I am a Michigander at heart- with only 4 years in Washington- and I'll just say it...Washingtonians can't deal with snow!

Love the motivation- and thanks for checking out my blog!
