.) I teach at an amazing school and love my job! I couldn't ask for better teammates to teach with! I Love teaching!! I know you already knew that but it is a big part of who I am! I couldn't imagine doing any other job. I am so excited to be starting a new school year in just a couple of days!! I can't wait to meet all of my students and start learning with them!
.) I have taught every grade level K-12 for students with disabilities. This is my 6th year teaching!
.) I taught for four years in the district I attended as a child and worked with many teachers who were my teachers at one point! My son, daughter, and I all had the same 2nd grade teacher!
.) My family and I moved to Indiana last year and I love it here! It has been such a good move for us!
.) I have a Master's degree in Special Education Administration, I thought I would really like helping other teachers, but then I did an internship and it was more about law, finances, and the business side of education. I hated it so I will probably never use that degree!
.) I started a second Master's degree in early childhood education but haven't finished it because after 8 years of working, taking care of kids, and going to college I just needed a break! It's been so nice to not worry about my own homework!! I may finish it someday but I'm not sure if I ever will!
.) I have an older brother and a younger sister! Yep I am the middle child. I love them both so much, we have a lot of fun hanging out together! Here we are a Christmas time last year! I'm on the right!
.) I hate cooking! Well hate is a strong word, but I don't like cooking at all. I do it because I have to and my family is waiting for me to, but if there is one thing that I wished I never had to do again it's cook! I always tell my kids you can only be really great at so many things and cooking just isn't one of the things I'm interested in getting really good at!
.) I love to sing! I sing all the time, and it drives my kids crazy because I am not good at it, but I love to do it so I do! They have asked me to be quite a few times when they thought the neighbors might be hearing me!!
.) I have been married for 17 years. My husband and I have a 16 year old son, and a 15 year old daughter who are both in high school and I am not liking the "empty nest" I see coming soon! Here's a couple of recent pictures of us!

Hi Amy! Hubby and I will celebrate 17 years in December! :-)
ReplyDeleteI understand about the Master's degree. I just got my teaching degree in 2010 (business degree before that) and have had enough 'school' for awhile! Being a wife, mom, working, and going to school was exhausting.
