Carson Dellosa has a great solution! The Original Summer Bridge Activities!!
I was excited to review their 4-5th grade set and loved what I found! I think you will too!! Here's a peek at some of the things I really love about it......
It is broken up into three sections, one for each month of vacation. Each section starts with a place to record goals for the month! I love that parents and kids can talk about what they want to accomplish and it gives the kids something to aim for.
I really like the variety of activities, each day it's something new! Some day's there are little fitness flashes (it says get up and do 10 jumping jacks ect.) or fun facts added to keep it interesting!
At the end of each section there are "bonus activities" that are fun hands on learning opportunities for kids and parents to work together. This is one where they construct a "backbone" out of toilet paper tubes! Fun, easy, and includes both parents and child!! LOVE IT!!
In the back of the book there are flash cards, all you have to do is cut them out and they are ready to use! There's also an answer key and stickers so parents can correct the work and reward the child when they meet their goals!
Finally there is a certificate you can give your child at the very end when they have completed the entire book! Something to work for!
The pack also came with some fun surprises for outdoor fun, a little pair of sunglasses, a small beach ball, and a jump rope! You could use these as rewards or incorporate them into the activities. Jump rope while you recite words or toss the ball while you recall math facts!
These cool pencils change color when you hold them, and the fish shaped note pad could be used for activities as well! Write your facts on them, or leave special notes to your child each day on them!
I was really excited to check out the online companion and it is amazing! You can access assessments, more workbook activities, and fun interactive games!
You can give your kids screen time that is fun and educational!!
And now you have the chance to win a set of your own! Use the raffle copter below to enter! The winner will choose the grade level they need! Thanks for stopping by and good luck!
