It's really bad.....

Hello my name is Amy and I am a blogaholic! There I admit it, and here are the reasons why I know this is true...

1.) I check my blogger dashboard as soon as I get up in the morning, when it's a work day I open every new post that I see and leave the posts open so I can read them throughout the day, our school network blocks blogs, there's some silly reason like "your network does not allow you to use blogger for personal use" well it is school related, I need to print all the awesome activities I find, uggg no blogging at school! But I can still read the posts if I've opened them before I left home!!

2.) I check my blogger dashboard as soon as I get home, my kids know that I will be sitting in my chair with my computer for at least 30 minutes upon arriving home each day so that I can catch up on what you are all doing and post what I have been doing (don't worry they are teenagers they don't really want me to be to involved anyway). I get a little panicked when staff meetings run over, or my kids need to go somewhere after school, and God forbid my internet not be working, I might just have to drive to the nearest McDonalds to get my blogging fix!

3.) Every where I go I see blog posts forming. I walk through stores and see things that I just know you all want to know about. I have always walked through stores and seen random ordinary things that were perfect for the lesson I was going to be teaching, but now I don't just get excited and buy it while my husband looks at me like I'm crazy/ I get extremely excited about the fact that someone else is going to love this idea and totally get me!! My husband still looks at me like I'm crazy but I just say "I can't wait to blog about this!!"

4.) I am up at 1:08 in the morning typing this post, while checking my dashboard every few minutes to see if any of you are up too!

5.) This is the 2nd night IN A ROW that I have not been able to sleep - WHAT??? I wanted to get extra sleep during break - not turn into an insomniac!!!! While I cannot sleep I have been lying in bed for two hours staring at the ceiling, listening to my husband contently snore away and writing the rest of this weeks blog posts in my head! Until I finally just got up and wrote this one!

I love blogging most because I know you all get what I am talking about! I love seeing what you have to share and sharing with you! I don't think I am out of control......please tell me you agree! It's really not that bad is it??

  3. I am right there with you too! I check my dashboard first thing in the morning - before my email even! I have now abandoned Facebook except for reading the blog updates on it! I'm supposed to be on vacation and all I can think about is - "I hope everyone keeps blogging during the break!"

  6. I think we all have a blogging addiction. I can see why our districts do not allow us to get onto blogs~ Enjoyed reading your post and could TOTALLY relate to what you are saying...any I wonder why I can't sleep. It's the ideas that keep bouncing in my head.

  8. umm yes! It's just so thrilling and I already am a people watcher so this is like getting to watch tons of people and no one cares!!! sometimes I overwhelm myself with number 3! It's gettin' real bad! At least we're all in this together!

  9. You are so funny! I use to be the same way with checking stats and my dashboard. :) I thought I was better until I made my blog goals after buying the TBTS course and now I feel like I have to check everything constantly to make sure I'm meeting and exceeding my goals for myself.

I lie in bed writing posts or coming up with printables, too. I ended up putting a notebook by my bed because I could never remember all my great ideas when I woke up.

I'm like Hadar, a total people watcher! Teacher blogs are like being able to go observe in tons of different classrooms.

Can you use Google Reader at your school?
